News That Matters
You guys, scientists have confirmed you can’t watch YouTube vids and sleep.
In a move that surprises no one — except perhaps pre-teen boys — the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization released a very professional study suggesting high-speed internet may be causing people to lose up to 25 minutes of sleep per night.
To Summarize: Internet → TV/Playstation/Instagram/AllTheScreens → Consciousness = No Sleep
If you ever find yourself wallowing in the deep and dark pit of despair known as utter loneliness, get your emo hiney over to Walmart! Turns out 140 million people visit a Walmart store every week. That’s one out of every three Americans all hanging out and getting loose in the same retail chain. But Walmart wants more, much more.
A few years ago Walmart ripped open its bedroom window and shouted out for all the world to hear, “We’re going to be the number one healthcare provider in the industry!” Now experts are saying the question isn’t if, it’s when.
“I can foresee a future where, through telemedicine, wearables and in-store health advisors, these retail outlets could become the new pillars of the healthcare ecosystem,” James Hereford, CEO and president of Fairview Health Services, one of the largest health systems in the Upper Midwest.
Personal question: Do you LOL, HAHA, kkk, or lmaohehlolgagasnortfart?
BJ Pang Chieh Ho did some serious internet trolling to find the 10 most common ways people around the world laugh online. That’s dedication. Let’s all be more like BJ.

Astronauts on the International Space Station are about to get a new mission from Earth: “Please test our tires and our faucets. K, thanks!”
Delta Faucet and Goodyear Tires announced last week they will send experiments out into the universe to test the boundaries of life as we know it. Turns out, doing research in space allows scientists to better understand how something works.
NASA is going Dutch, covering the cost of getting experiments to and from the space station, and letting taxpayers pick up the astronauts’ salaries.
Beans, greens, potatoes, tomatoes. Delta Airlines is playing our jam and testing three-course meals in economy.
Picture this: You’ve just strapped your Lululemon pants into a tiny little plane chair when a flight attendant approaches carrying “Welcome Bubbles” on a silver tray. (Still awaiting official confirmation from Delta whether the silver tray will be in play, but go with us on this one.) You’re given a choice between a Bellini, La Croix, San Pellegrino, or Seagram’s. And that’s just the bevie sitch.
Book now. Only passengers on flights from Portland, Oregon to Tokyo will get to experience the magic from 30,000 feet in the air.
